Obviously, I'm going to monitor the tablet to see if this occurs again with Sketchbook or happens with any other apps. This was not a permanent burn in, but the Sketchbook icons definitely remained for awhile. Could there have been some kind of overheating? Could there be a system glitch within the OS? Or could something I was doing with Sketchbook have interacted with my hardware to cause the problem? I was doing a lot of work with perspective guides in Sketchbook for 1-2 hours. There are a few possibilities as I understand it. Eventually, the screen returned to normal. The images remained faintly for about an hour with any apps where the screen had a darker color. If I turned the screen brightness up high, which I usually don't do, the ghost images could not be seen. What I mean is, after closing Sketchbook, there were ghost images of the Sketchbook icons at the top of my screen. on my tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (Android 11). Hopefully, this is just a one-off occurrence: This morning I had image retention for an hour or two after using Sketchbook 5.2.2. Thankfully she has the image files themselves, but neither of us know too much about art tech yet, so I have no idea if these TIFFs would retain their layering if opened in another app. Not only did it STILL not fix the "Unable to Load" issue, but files that WERE opening properly before the reinstall are no longer opening at all. Opened the settings, and sure enough, there was STILL no "Check for Recoverable Images" in there.Ĭopied her data back onto the tablet in a sub Backups folder. (Thankfully).Ĭleared the Autodesk folder from the tablet completely. So I took a copy of all of the TIFF files, and saved them off of the tablet. Basically clear all data, uninstall, reinstall and reimport. This included her updating to this new version, that DID not have any such thing as "Check for Recoverable Images" in it.įast forward to her complaining on their App page, with a Dev responding with the same steps that others have posted in this thread. She had the corruption error that was happening in the previous versions.
